21/7 BOMB CONSPIRATOR JAILED (21.11.07)
On 20 November 2007 a 34-year-old man of Tollington Park, N4, London, was found guilty of conspiracy to cause explosions likely to endanger life. Manfo Kwaku Asiedu was sentenced to 33 years' imprisonment for his part in the attempted bombings of the London transport system on 21 July 2005. 10 YEARS OF MI5 AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES (14.11.07)
In November 1997, the Security Service began releasing historical files to the National Archives (formerly the Public Record Office) at Kew. Since then, we have released nearly 3,700 records into the public domain. They can be viewed at the National Archives by any member of the public with a National Archives readers' pass, which can be obtained free of charge. 'LYRICAL TERRORIST' CONVICTED (08.11.07)
A 23-year-old woman from Southall, West London, was today (8 November) found guilty of terrorist charges. Samina Malik, who called herself the "Lyrical Terrorist", was convicted of posessing documents likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing acts of terrorism. DIRECTOR GENERAL SPEAKS OF NEED FOR PERSEVERANCE (05.11.07)
