11TH SECURITY SERVICE RELEASE TO THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES (14.11.03)
The eleventh Security Service release to The National Archives, published on 14 November, contains 198 files, bringing the total number of Service records in the public domain to 1,844. The majority of files are from 1939-45 and deal with a range of groups and subjects. Notable personal files include those on German spies landed in Ireland during the Second World War and on various British right-wing sympathisers, such as Lady Diana Mosley, Arthur Chesterton, and Arnold Leese. Details have also been released on German wartime plans to wage a bombing campaign using exploding cans of processed peas.
