History: 5 September 2005 releases

The Security Service released a further 305 files to The National Archives on 5 September 2005. This brings the total number of its records in the public domain to almost 2,800.

Most of the files in this release are from 1939-45, but there are many from the inter-war period and post-war period up to 1954, dealing with a range of groups and subjects. As with previous releases, most of the records are personal files relating to individuals.
