Threat level increased to 'critical' (30 June 2007)

Following the recent terrorist incidents in London and Glasgow, the UK threat level has been increased to CRITICAL. This means that a terrorist attack is expected imminently and indicates an extremely high level of threat.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw the incident of 30 June at Glasgow Airport, or who saw a blue Mercedes on Cockspur Street in London late Thursday 28 June or early Friday 29 June. If you have any information on these incidents or any other terrorist threats, please call the confidential anti-terrorist hotline number: 0800 789 321.
