Introduction

We offer a range of opportunities from busy administrative roles to technical training programmes. Whether you are supporting one of our investigative teams, administrating in human resources or starting out on our Technical Apprenticeship Scheme, you will be part of a supportive team with the opportunity to develop and learn about the exciting work of MI5.

English Language Analysts

Our English language Analysts listen to lawfully intercepted conversations, picking out essential information that will help our investigations. You will analyse telephone conversations and eavesdropping product intercepted under warrant for some of our highest priority investigations.

Technical Apprenticeship Scheme

Working with MI5, SIS and GCHQ you will learn about – and work with – some of the world’s most cutting-edge technologies that sit at the heart of British intelligence. During the two year scheme you’ll gain a Foundation Degree in Communications, Security and Engineering, and a level 4 Diploma in IT, Software, Web and Telecommunications Competence. The programme will lead to exciting roles within the intelligence agencies.

Our Administrative Assistants work across a variety of departments each offering a range of roles providing essential support to our officers. This is an ideal role for a school leaver, people coming back to work after a career break or those looking for a change of career.

IT Service Entry Scheme

The Service Desk Analyst role in MI5 is an excellent opportunity to start your career in IT.  You will be integrated into our growing first line support IT team, being the first point of contact for IT related requests from a range of stakeholders.
